KMV’s faculty member secures three consecutive Patents, Showcasing Excellence in Research and Innovation
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has consistently nurtured a vibrant culture of innovation and research among its faculty members. Upholding this tradition, Dr. Narinderjit Kaur, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry, has brought laurels to the institution through her remarkable achievements in research and innovation, securing three consecutive patents, including one UK patent and two Indian patents.
Jalandhar, March 1, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has consistently nurtured a vibrant culture of innovation and research among its faculty members. Upholding this tradition, Dr. Narinderjit Kaur, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry, has brought laurels to the institution through her remarkable achievements in research and innovation, securing three consecutive patents, including one UK patent and two Indian patents.
Her UK patent pertains to the development of a Digital Writing Pad for Recording Medical Parameters, an innovative device designed to enable systematic and efficient documentation of vital health data. In India, she has been granted patents for a Device for Analysis of Glucose Level and an Analytical Device for Delivery of Drug Compatibility. These inventions reflect her interdisciplinary approach, effectively bridging chemistry with healthcare technology, and demonstrate her commitment to developing practical, need-based solutions with strong societal and clinical relevance.
Earlier, in 2020, she was also awarded an Indian patent on nanoparticles with aluminium alloys, further strengthening her research profile in advanced materials and applied chemistry. In addition, Dr. Kaur has secured four copyrights under an interdisciplinary seed money project in collaboration with the Department of Fashion Designing on Natural Dyeing at Home, promoting sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Dr. Narinderjit Kaur on her outstanding accomplishments and commended her for her continued dedication to research, innovation, and academic excellence.
