KMV’s faculty member Secures 5th Patent for Cloud Service Innovation, Strengthening Institution’s Research Excellence

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Dr. Ravi Khurana has been granted his 5th patent, marking another significant milestone in his growing intellectual property portfolio. The latest patent has been awarded by the Patent Office, Government of India, for the invention titled “System and Method for Cloud Service Selection Based on Trustworthiness, and Reputation of CSPs.”

Jalandhar, January 22, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Dr. Ravi Khurana has been granted his 5th patent, marking another significant milestone in his growing intellectual property portfolio. The latest patent has been awarded by the Patent Office, Government of India, for the invention titled “System and Method for Cloud Service Selection Based on Trustworthiness, and Reputation of CSPs.” 
This innovation focuses on improving how organisations choose cloud services by incorporating trustworthiness and reputation-based evaluation of Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)—a crucial requirement in today’s digital ecosystem where performance, reliability, and security are vital for cloud adoption across education, industry, and governance. 
Highlighting the broader achievements, Dr. Ravi Khurana has also been awarded an Innovative Patent in Australia, a Patent granted by the Government of India, and has successfully registered two design patents—one with the Intellectual Property Office, UK and the other with the Patent Office, Government of India. This remarkable achievement highlights his consistent dedication to knowledge creation and dissemination, making him a significant contributor to the academic community and a valuable resource for students and researchers alike.
