KMV’s Faculty Development Programme successfully fostering Multidimensional Knowledge and Innovation in Teaching

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) continued its one-month Faculty Development Programme 2025 on “Multidimensional Knowledge & Pedagogical Innovative Skills,” in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell to strengthen academic excellence and foster innovative teaching practices. The FDP was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, who motivated the faculty to engage wholeheartedly in the learning process.

Jalandhar, December 2, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) continued its one-month Faculty Development Programme 2025 on “Multidimensional Knowledge & Pedagogical Innovative Skills,” in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell to strengthen academic excellence and foster innovative teaching practices. The FDP was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, who motivated the faculty to engage wholeheartedly in the learning process.

This was followed by the Department of Psychology, which conducted an insightful session on psychological counseling for students, highlighting emotional understanding and supportive strategies for student well-being. The Department of Chemistry enriched the programme with a practical session on adulteration tests of common kitchen products, offering scientific methods to identify impurities and create awareness about food safety. The Department of Philosophy contributed meaningfully through its session on philosophy and life skills, emphasizing reflective thinking and values essential for personal and professional growth.

The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication and Animation carried the momentum forward with a session on video editing, equipping faculty members with fundamental techniques of digital content creation. The Department of Physical Education conducted a highly relevant session on fitness routines for a healthy life, stressing the importance of daily physical activity and wellness for educators. Moving ahead, the Department of Physics offered an engaging presentation on basic household physics, simplifying everyday phenomena and encouraging the use of practical demonstrations in classrooms.

The Department of Hindi enriched the programme with a discussion on Indian Knowledge Systems, highlighting the relevance of cultural wisdom in modern education, while the Department of Computer Science created awareness about cybercrime and digital safety and the Department of Punjabi presented an insightful talk on fading Punjabi culture and rituals, emphasizing the need to preserve linguistic and cultural heritage.

The FDP during this period remained vibrant, collaborative and academically enriching, reflecting KMV’s dedication to continuous professional growth and pedagogical innovation. Madam Principal appreciated the efforts of all departments and encouraged faculty members to continue embracing innovative learning with enthusiasm and commitment.
