KMVites Shine Globally with Prestigious Placements and Achievements

Jalandhar, September 1, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), a pioneer in academic excellence and holistic education, has once again demonstrated its global edge with a series of remarkable international placements and achievements by its students and faculty.
Highlighting the success, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi remarked that these accomplishments are a testament to the New Age Education imparted at KMV, which equips students with the skills, confidence, and exposure needed to excel on international platforms.
Students of KMV’s Hospitality & Tourism program have secured coveted placements at renowned establishments in the USA, including Hilton Hotel in Boston and Loews Hotel in Arlington, Texas, at lucrative packages of ₹37 lakh per annum, reflecting their outstanding professional training and expertise.
Among the achievers, Lavleen Saini, M.Sc. Physics, has been placed at Rutgers University, USA, as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering, with a stipend of $4,000 per month. Similarly, Jasmine Parmar of the Bio-Technology Department was selected for research at the Wyss Institute, Harvard University, under the prestigious Khorana Programme for Scholars initiated by the Government of India.
Adding to the pride, Vajinder Kaur from the PG Department of Mathematics has secured admission to the Master of Science in Statistical Practice program at Boston University, USA, along with a 45% merit-based tuition scholarship—the highest awarded this year by the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. She is also the only student from northern India to be selected for this program.
In addition, six KMVites represented India as delegates at the World Youth Festival in Russia, presenting Indian folk dances and cross-cultural performances. Faculty and students of the Psychology Department earned scholarships for a Summer University course in Hungarian Language and Culture at Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary. Furthermore, KMV’s Science faculty won a prestigious six-month fellowship at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Italy.
“These milestones perfectly align with the vision of the New Education Policy, which emphasises global competitiveness and exposure,” said Prof. Dwivedi. “KMV’s consistent success in creating opportunities at the international level reaffirms its standing as a premier institution committed to preparing students and faculty for global challenges and leadership.”
