Jalandhar, November 9, 2025: Students from the PG Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), embarked on a unique learning journey with an educational visit to The Tribune Head Office in Chandigarh. The visit offered aspiring journalists an exclusive opportunity to gain firsthand experience of the newspaper production process.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by The Tribune’s editorial team, who guided them through various departments integral to newspaper creation. The interactive session provided valuable insights into newsroom operations, editorial decision-making, and the integration of modern technologies in journalism.
A major highlight of the visit was an in-depth exploration of newspaper printing techniques. Students were taken behind the scenes to observe the sophisticated machinery and meticulous processes that transform news stories into printed pages. From typesetting and layout design to printing and distribution, the visit offered a comprehensive understanding of the entire newspaper production cycle.
The editorial team also engaged in an enriching question-and-answer session, sharing professional experiences, practical advice, and anecdotes from the world of journalism.
