KMV unveils 'The Greek Literary Odyssey' Wall Magazine

Jalandhar, September 21, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of English organised a creative and academic Wall Magazine activity titled 'The Greek Literary Odyssey', showcasing the rich heritage of Greek literature, philosophy, drama, and art.
Students enthusiastically decorated the departmental display board with colourful and informative charts highlighting prominent Greek thinkers and writers such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and Homer. The wall magazine also featured celebrated works including Homer’s The Iliad and The Odyssey, Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex and Antigone, Euripides’ Medea, and Aristophanes’ Lysistrata. The displays presented key information about the authors, major themes, characters, and literary significance of these classical works.
The activity enabled students to explore the foundations of Greek literature while expressing their understanding through creativity and visual presentation. 'The Greek Literary Odyssey' provided an engaging platform for students to combine literary learning, creativity, teamwork, and presentation skills. It also helped them appreciate the enduring influence of Greek literature on English literature, drama, philosophy, and the wider literary tradition. The Wall Magazine was successfully displayed, creating an informative and aesthetically appealing space that reflected the students’ enthusiasm for classical literature and their creative abilities.
Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi inaugurated the wall magazine with a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony and averred that activities like these give the students a platform to showcase their creativity and talent. She lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English and Dean Student Welfare, teachers of PG Department of English and all the students for successfully preparing the wall.
