Jalandhar, September 22, 2015: A group of 6 students accompanied by a teacher from Kanya Maha Vidayalaya-The Heritage Institution has left for a ten day trip to the United States of America. This is the second group of students visiting Chatham University, Pittsburg, USA as a part of the tie-up that exists between KMV and Chatham University. During the visit, the students will be attending classes and participating in various ongoing campus activities at Chatham. The KMV-Chatham collaboration has provided valuable international exposure to the students as well as the faculty at KMV in the form of video conference, online classes, online forums and blogs and student and faculty visits that keep on taking place from time to time. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal KMV congratulated the students going to Chatham University and said that students of KMV interested in continuing their studies at Chatham would be able to transfer their credits to Chatham after completing first year at KMV. She also apprised the students that many joint degree and diploma programmes with Chatham University were also in the offing. The students visiting USA are Vineka, Sakshi, Harkomal, Simran, Kiran and Harkamalpreet. They are escorted by Dr. Gopi Sharma from the Dept. of Physics.
