Jalandhar, September 28, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) P.G. Department of Retail Management under the Centre of Excellence (CoE), Government of India, organized an industry-integrated workshop on supply chain and inventory management at Pantaloons, Jalandhar. 
The workshop was specially curated for the students of the department to provide hands-on exposure to real-world retail practices and develop essential on-the-job training skill sets. 
The workshop was conducted by Rawinder Sharma, the Store Manager of Pantaloons, who delivered an insightful expert talk covering key areas such as Customer service and satisfaction, Store operations and workflow management & Visual merchandising and display techniques. Students observed practical implementations of merchandising strategies, customer handling protocols, and in-store logistics. This hands-on experience helped them understand the operational efficiency and customer-centric approach required in modern retail environments. This initiative, conducted under the Centre of Excellence, emphasized the importance of skill development, employability enhancement, and entrepreneurial grooming as per the industry demands. Students gained valuable insights into evolving retail trends, consumer behavior, and store management processes, enhancing their confidence and professional acumen. The faculty members accompanying the students ensured smooth coordination and successful implementation of the workshop. The event proved to be highly beneficial, motivational, and educational, enriching the students' learning journey. 
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the efforts of Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Head and faculty of Retail Management Department in organizing such workshops relevant to industries activities and encouraged continued collaboration with reputed brands to provide students with platforms that nurture innovation and practical learning. She congratulated the faculty and students for their active involvement and professional conduct during the visit.
