KMV organises extension lecture on Career as Chartered Accountant in collaboration with ICAI

Jalandhar, November 9, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been making efforts for the holistic development of its students. In keeping with this tradition, P.G. Department of Commerce and Business Administration in collaboration with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organised an extension lecture on Career as a Chartered Accountant for the  students of commerce. The resource person for the lecture was Bhanu Dhir. She guided the students about the success mantra for becoming CA and various opportunities available after doing CA. She also acquainted the students with different routes for doing CA and the importance of CA’s signature. She further highlighted the importance of Chartered Accountants in maintaining financial system of the country and  that Chartered Accountants act as a bridge between the government and people of the country. She gave an in depth knowledge regarding various scholarships and e-learning programmes available on their website, ‘www.icai.org’ & also inspired the students by giving various examples of renowned persons who are practicing C.A’s. She talked about various career options that can be pursued along with preparation for  C.A exams. Bhanu talked about a new initiative by ICAI regarding BAA Certificate &  told students would get this certificate after their Inter group exam. The lecture was attended by more than 150 students. The lecture was very interactive and indeed a great learning experience for all the participants. Principal Prof  Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Dr. Neeraj Maini and faculty for taking initiatives to keep the students abreast with various career options in the field of Accountancy.
