Jalandhar, October 31, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated National Unity Day with great zeal and patriotic enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
To mark the occasion, a special Run for Unity was organised on the college campus by the Department of Physical Education. During the event, students raised patriotic slogans and took a pledge to uphold the nation’s unity and integrity, work collectively for progress, and spread the spirit of nation-building and development.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi paid rich tributes to Sardar Patel, emphasizing that this day reminds every Indian of the strength and power of unity. She stated that maintaining the unity, integrity, and security of the country must remain a top priority and a shared responsibility. Dr. Dwivedi further added that India’s diversity is its greatest strength, and it is the moral duty of every citizen to foster fraternity, social harmony, and collective growth.
The Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare, and Dr. Davinder Singh for successfully organising the event.
