KMV in a Spirit of Compassion, Distributes Blankets and Winter Essentials to Hostel Mess Staff on the occasion of Lohri & Makar Sankranthi

Jalandhar, January 18, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), upholding its long-standing tradition of social responsibility and inclusive welfare, organised a welfare initiative on the auspicious occasions of Lohri and Makar Sankranthi by distributing blankets and winter clothes to the hostel mess staff of the institution.

The initiative was undertaken to express gratitude and concern for the well-being of the mess staff, who play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of hostel life and student welfare. Considering the harsh winter conditions, the institution ensured that the staff members received warm blankets and winter clothing to help them stay protected during the cold season.

The distribution ceremony was marked by warmth, empathy and festive cheer, reflecting the true spirit of Lohri and Makar Sankranthi—festivals symbolising gratitude, sharing and new beginnings. The gesture reinforced KMV’s commitment to fostering a culture of care, respect and mutual support within the campus community.

Members of the administration and staff interacted warmly with the mess staff, extended festive greetings and acknowledged their dedicated services. The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to the institution for the thoughtful and timely support.

Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi stated that through such meaningful initiatives, KMV continues to blend cultural celebrations with humanitarian values, sensitising students and staff towards social responsibility and the spirit of giving, while strengthening bonds within the KMV family.
