KMV concludes One-month Faculty Development Programme with Valedictory Ceremony

Jalandhar, December 15, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) marked the successful culmination of its one-month Faculty Development Programme (FDP) 2025 on “Multidimensional Knowledge & Pedagogical Innovative Skills” with a valedictory ceremony. The FDP was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college and witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members across departments, reflecting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and innovative teaching practices. Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee, and Shiv Mittal, Member, KMV Managing Committee, were also present on the occasion.

In his valedictory address, Chander Mohan lauded KMV’s sustained efforts toward faculty enrichment and emphasised the pivotal role of teachers in shaping socially responsible and intellectually empowered learners. He encouraged the faculty to continuously update their pedagogical skills in line with evolving educational demands and emerging technologies.

Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi presented a comprehensive overview of the FDP, summarising its enriching academic journey. She highlighted the multidimensional nature of the programme, which included sessions on psychological counselling, innovative science practices, Indian Knowledge Systems, digital literacy, cultural preservation, physical wellness, and technology-enabled teaching. Prof. Dwivedi appreciated the collaborative spirit of all departments and acknowledged the resource persons for making the programme vibrant and impactful. Dr. Jatinder Pal, Dean, Research, presented the report of the FDP.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Neeraj Maini, Dean, Academics, expressing gratitude to the management, organisers, and participants for contributing to the success of the FDP. The valedictory ceremony reaffirmed KMV’s vision of continuous professional development and its resolve to nurture innovation and excellence in higher education.

On this occasion, various departments, namely the PG Department of English, PG Department of Fashion Designing, PG Department of Commerce & Business Administration, PG Department of Computer Science & Applications, Department of Physical Education, Department of Home Science & Nutrition, and PG Department of Chemistry, were honoured with the award of Best Presentations, with the PG Department of English bagging the top ratings for their presentation. Moreover, special prizes were given to the Department of Sanskrit and the Department of Philosophy on this occasion.
