KMV commemorates World Intellectual Property Day 2026 with focus on Innovation in Sports

Jalandhar, April 28, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell in association with the KMV Institution’s Innovation Council (KMV IIC) organised engaging and thought-provoking competitions to commemorate World Intellectual Property Day 2026.
The celebrations aimed at fostering creativity and awareness about intellectual property among students. The event was centred around the theme “IP and Sports: Ready, Set, Innovate,” which inspired participants from various disciplines to explore the dynamic relationship between intellectual property and innovation in sports, including advancements in technology, branding, and creative expression. Featuring a Poster-Making Competition and storytelling, the celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The competitions showcased a vibrant array of artistic expressions where participants creatively illustrated the role of IP in encouraging innovation and addressing global challenges. The event also played a crucial role in enhancing students' creativity, critical thinking, and artistic skills while instilling a strong awareness of originality, ethical practices, and the significance of safeguarding intellectual assets in today's innovation-driven world. The entries were judged by an esteemed panel of faculty members and IP experts who appreciated the students for their high level of awareness and enthusiasm. Winners were recognised for their outstanding contributions and were awarded with certificates of appreciation.
Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi applauded the dedicated efforts of the KMV IPR Cell and KMV IIC team for organising such an impactful event, which reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to nurturing young minds.
