KMV Celebrates Van Mahotsav with Environmental Awareness Rally
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) P.G. Department of Botany, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council and KMV Eco Club, marked Van Mahotsav with an impactful Environmental Awareness Rally as part of its ongoing environmental campaign. The initiative sought to instill environmental consciousness and promote sustainable practices among students and the community.

Jalandhar, August 26, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) P.G. Department of Botany, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council and KMV Eco Club, marked Van Mahotsav with an impactful Environmental Awareness Rally as part of its ongoing environmental campaign. The initiative sought to instill environmental consciousness and promote sustainable practices among students and the community.
The rally was flagged off by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, who urged participants to become vocal ambassadors of environmental care and to champion the cause of a greener, healthier planet. Students, faculty, and eco-club members marched enthusiastically through the campus, carrying placards, banners, and slogans highlighting critical issues such as pollution control, biodiversity conservation, waste management, and afforestation.
Participants passionately chanted slogans including “One Tree Today, a Forest Tomorrow,” “Plant Trees, Breathe Easy,” and “Go Green, Live Clean,” spreading a strong message of ecological responsibility.
The event, held under the aegis of the State Nodal Agency of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology and MoEF&CC, Government of India, successfully engaged the college community in dialogue and action, leaving a lasting impression on their environmental outlook.
