Khadi Exhibition starts at Panjab University Student Centre

As part of Khadi Mahotsav celebrations, three days Khadi Exhibition started today at Panjab University (PU) Student Centre. The exhibition is being organised by Department of Gandhian & Peace Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with PU Centre for Social Work and Kshetriya Punjab Khadi Mandal (S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali).

Chandigarh, October 27, 2025: As part of Khadi Mahotsav celebrations, three days Khadi Exhibition started today at Panjab University (PU) Student Centre. The exhibition is being organised by Department of Gandhian & Peace Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with PU Centre for Social Work and Kshetriya Punjab Khadi Mandal (S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali).

 

PU Dean University Instructions Professor Yojna Rawat inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest. She emphasised the importance of Khadi in today’s world and described it as a step Towards Atam Nirbhar Bharat.

 

Earlier, Dr. Seema Malhotra introduced the Chief Guest to the audience and also informed everybody about the importance of the Khadi Mohatsav by saying that we all are not just gathered to inaugurate the Exhibition, we are here to celebrate legacy. A legacy woven thread by thread, embodying the spirit of our nation

 

Professor Ashu Pasricha, Chairperson, Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies presented a potter to the Chief guest.

 

Sohan Lal Saini, Secretary presented a shawl as a token of our immense respect and gratitude. Professor Monica Munjial, Chairperson of the Centre of Social Work proposed a formal vote of thanks.
