Jalandhar, August 25, 2025: Ivy World School, under the aegis of the Vasal Education, took an inspiring step towards environmental conservation by organising a grand and awareness-driven celebration of Van Mahotsav. The highlight of the event was the successful plantation of 2000 saplings in just one minute, a record-setting initiative that reflected the school’s deep commitment to creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
The highlight of the programme was the pledge by the students to care for the saplings, fostering values of love for nature and responsibility. This commitment echoed in their cultural performances, including the school band, a lively tribal dance and a thought-provoking Punjabi street play, all reinforcing their role as responsible and aware citizens championing environmental protection.
The occasion also marked the launch of ‘Nanak Bagichi’, a special green zone developed using the world-renowned Miyawaki technique introduced by Japanese scientist Dr Akira Miyawaki. This method allows local species of trees to grow 10 times faster and form 30 times denser forests. Inspired by Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s vision of the world as a beautiful garden of equality, harmony, and love, Nanak Bagichi stands as a living example of balance between nature and humanity.
As a mark of respect, Vasal Education presented mementos to the esteemed Chief Guest and dignitaries.
The President of Vasal Education, K K Vasal, The Chairman Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, The Vice President Ena Vasal, The CEO Raghav Vasal, and The Director Aditi Vasal reiterated that environmental protection should not be viewed as a one-day celebration but as a continuous journey towards a greener and cleaner tomorrow. They encouraged students, teachers, and the community to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives and become ambassadors of change.
The management and staff emphasized that every small effort, whether planting a sapling, reducing waste or conserving water, contributes to a larger movement for sustainability.
