UHSR CET held peacefully; 21,231 candidates appear at 86 centres

Rohtak, September 13, 2026: The joint entrance examination (CET) conducted by Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak, for admission to nursing and paramedical courses was held peacefully and transparently across Haryana on Sunday.
As many as 21,231 candidates appeared for the examination amid tight security and stringent anti-cheating measures, while 1,916 remained absent. A total of 23,147 applications had been received for the test, which was conducted at 86 centres across the state to facilitate candidates from different districts.
UHSR Vice-Chancellor Dr H.K. Aggarwal said ensuring a fair and transparent examination while providing maximum convenience to candidates was the university’s priority. He thanked the district administration, police, DMER Panchkula and university officials and staff for the smooth conduct of the test.
Controller of Examinations Dr Sukhdev Chandla said several flying squads comprising senior faculty members conducted surprise inspections at all 86 centres. Dr Aggarwal also visited around half a dozen centres to review arrangements.
Registrar Dr Roop Singh said photography, videography and biometric verification were carried out at all centres. The centres were equipped with mobile phone jammers and CCTV surveillance.
The examination was conducted from 11 am to 2 pm. More than 700 police personnel, 610 security staff, 740 invigilators and 50 flying squads were deployed.
Admissions through the CET will be offered to BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing, NPCC, BPT, MPT and other paramedical programmes.
