Jalandhar, July 14, 2026: A highly informative and impactful workshop on "Transforming Classrooms Through Innovative Teaching Techniques and Phonics" was organised at Ivy World School, Jalandhar, under the aegis of Vasal Education. The teachers of Ivy World School enthusiastically participated in this enriching professional development programme.
The workshop was conducted by Coral George, an internationally recognised speaker, Synthetic Phonics Ambassador, and renowned literacy expert from the United Kingdom. Drawing on her extensive international experience, she demonstrated how Systematic Synthetic Phonics lays a strong foundation for reading, writing, pronunciation, spelling, and effective communication. Through engaging demonstrations and interactive sessions, George equipped teachers with practical, research-based strategies for delivering effective phonics instruction in the classroom.
The experiential training focused on the five core components of Systematic Synthetic Phonics: the 42 letter sounds, multisensory learning, blending and segmenting, tricky words, and correct letter formation. The hands-on activities enabled teachers to gain practical insights into making phonics instruction engaging, effective, and learner-centred.
