Ivy World School organised Inter School Sahodaya Fireless Cooking  Competition 

Jalandhar, May 20, 2023: Ivy World School, Jalandhar under the aegis of the Vasal Education Society organized an Inter School Sahodaya Fireless Cooking  Competition today where 31 Schools of Jalandhar participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. The event gave an exposure to the students to demonstrate their culinary skills and the food items displayed were a visual treat and were presented in an artistic and aesthetic style.

Dishes were evaluated on flavor, nutrition and taste by the esteemed judges Chef Pawan, HOD Academics, NFCI, Chef Ram, Head Chef, NFCI and Jasjeet Mundi, Head Mistress, Ivy World School. They interacted with the budding chefs to find out the ingredients of the recipes, nutritional value and the historical significance of the dishes prepared by them. The judges were overawed by the efforts of the participants and results were announced amidst tough competition. First position was secured by La Blossoms School, Jalandhar, closely followed by Woodland Overseas, Hoshiarpur which bagged the second position. The third position was bagged by DIPS Kapurthala and the consolation prize was won by the team of APJ School, Model Town. 

The event not only provided a platform for the students to foster their creativity and decision making skills but also helped them explore their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest.
 
The Principal, S. Chauhan congratulated and appreciated the efforts put in by the participated teams that infused a lot of  creativity. She mentioned that hands on cooking activities help children develop confidence and encourages children to be self-directed, independent individuals.
 
The President of Vasal Education Society, K K Vasal, The Chairman Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, The Vice President Ena Vasal, The CEO Raghav Vasal, and The Director, Aditi Vasal said that through this competition the students learnt the spirit of teamwork and culinary skills. They appreciated the hardwork put in by the teams as the event also made the students aware about the nutritional value of food cooked without flame and to encourage them to stay away from the junk food.
