Israeli air strikes kill 10 Palestinians in Gaza

Gaza, July 12 (IANS) At least 10 Palestinians were killed and 15 injured Saturday during airstrikes by Israeli warplanes all over the Gaza Strip.

According to officials, in one incident three Palestinians were killed and five injured in an airstrike near a mosque in western Gaza city, Xinhua reported.

Two handicapped girls were killed and five injured when airstrikes hit a handicapped society in northern Gaza, the officials said.

Five Palestinians were killed and five injured in airstrike hit the northern Gaza Strip town of Jabalia.

The Palestinian health ministry said that since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip Tuesday, 118 Palestinians were killed and more than 900 injured.

The health ministry also said that two thirds of the casualties are civilians, including children, women and old men, adding that there is a severe shortage of medical and health services in the hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
