Investiture Ceremony 2026 – Empowering the Leaders

Jalandhar, May 11, 2026: The morning of 8 May witnessed a momentous occasion at DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur — the Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27. It was a proud and memorable moment for the entire school fraternity as the newly elected student council was formally entrusted with their duties and responsibilities in a solemn and dignified ceremony.
The ceremony commenced with a proud acknowledgment of the school’s four houses — Dignity, Honesty, Prosperity, and Unity — each representing the core values and virtues the institution strives to instill in its students. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and pride as junior and senior captains were appointed from each house in four categories: Captain, Vice-Captain, Cultural Captain, and Sports Captain.

The ceremony reached its emotional peak with the Oath Taking Ceremony led by Head Boy Ansh Narang. The newly elected leaders pledged to uphold the values of the school and perform their duties with sincerity, honesty, integrity, and dedication.
Dr. Yogesh Gambhir, Principal of the school, addressed the office bearers with inspiring words of wisdom and encouragement. In his motivating speech, he urged the student leaders to bring innovation during their tenure and to foster a spirit of healthy competition among all houses. He emphasized that true leadership lies not in authority but in service, humility, teamwork, and inspiration. His thoughtful message deeply resonated with the students and encouraged them to lead by example.
Adding grandeur to the occasion, a magnificent Office Bearers’ Parade was organised. Proudly adorned with badges and sashes, all the newly appointed leaders marched house-wise as they were introduced to the school community. The school campus echoed with applause and cheers from students and teachers alike, celebrating their achievements and boosting their confidence. The parade was truly a visual spectacle symbolizing discipline, unity, dignity, and honour.
The Investiture Ceremony concluded on a note of pride and optimism, marking the beginning of a new chapter of responsibility and leadership for the young torchbearers of the school.
