Shimla, January 8, 2016: The Geological Survey of India (GSI) in collaboration with Revenue Department and the HP State Centre on Climate Change of the State Council of Science Technology and Environment is organizing one day interaction meet on Landslide Risk Mitigation in Himachal Pradesh at Shimla on January 11.
A Spokesperson of the State government said here today the discussions during the deliberations would focus on work done by GSI on landslides in the Indian Himalayan Region with special to reference of Himachal Pradesh and its recommendations for the State based on the studies carried out.
Besides, the focus would also be given on identification of major landslide prone zones/areas in Himachal Pradesh and its mitigation measures.
