Hyderabad, October 27, 2016: Hyderabad is the city of Nawabs and Kababs, Biryani and Sherwani, Pearls and Paigah; Haleem and Arches, Minarets and Modern Buildings.

The city of over 400 years is the host of first ever World Stroke Congress in Indian in Hyderabad.

The era of the Nawab's had a significant impact, which foreigner got a zhalak of it Wednesday night at Novotel Hotel in Madhapur. They were treated royally to Nawabi cuisine, culture and music.

Two thousand two hundred delegates comprised of Stroke Doctors, Specialists, Stroke Experts, Leading Neurologists from across the globe who are the delegates at the currently ongoing World Stroke Congress were given a taste of local culture and cuisine here at Novotel on Wednesday night.

They were welcomed traditionally with garlands, for which one doctor while going back asked the hosts, whether he could take it along with him

Add to the euphoria, a photo booth or a selfie zone was created where they got a chance to wear the attires of the Nawabs of yesteryears along with Nawab accessories to be a Nawab for a moment and get it captured for memory.

Nawabi clothes, headgear, caps/hats. The sword arranged so that they wear and sit in a throne-like a chair. Many foreign delegates liked it so much that they had to wait for their turn to get photographed.

Lovely food and live ghazals are a great combination and go well with each other. They entertained with mesmerizing ghazals by few local singers.

I heard a lot about Hyderabadi Ghazals. It is a mesmerizing evening of melodious Ghazals, commented a Stroke Specialist from Japan.

Another experience of local culture offered to foreigners was in the form of presenting them Hyderabad Attar. A stall was set up with the broad range of local yet famous perfumes. Many international guests were amused seeing tiny scent bottles. They started enquiring very inquisitively.

A henna stall which was set up attracted many women delegates. Each one was competed to get their hands done with henna.

Earlier, followed by the inaugural function, a cultural program—Nrityophara by Shankarananda Kalakshetra ensemble performed. It was choreographed by renowned dancer Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant.

The guests were impressed by the excellent performance. Beginning to end they watched the performance. Some of them even were seen capturing the moments.

Nrityopahara is a collage of group work, that bows to the rich and vibrant culture that is India, through the footsteps of dance and the cadences of music, and takes the audience on a colorful, enchanting, dynamic, and soulful journey into the esoteric beauty and quintessential core of India.

So we made all arrangements to leave the long lasting impression of our culture, life, customs on them forever, commented one of the organizers of the World Stroke Congress, which is being organized by World Stroke Organisation and Indian Stroke Association. The congress is organized first time in India at Hyderabad.

Nearly 2100 delegates from all over the world are participating in the four-day congress.
