The event saw active participation from all four houses, showcasing the students’ skill, confidence, and respect for the cultural significance of the turban.

Jalandhar, November 23, 2025: DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur organized an Inter House Turban Tying Competition on 22 November to promote Punjabi culture, tradition, and pride among students. The event saw active participation from all four houses, showcasing the students’ skill, confidence, and respect for the cultural significance of the turban.

The competition was judged by Mr Harjit Singh, an inspiring Punjabi YouTuber, Anchor, and Video Content Creator. His presence added charm to the event as he appreciated the efforts of the participants and motivated them to stay connected with their cultural roots.

Students displayed remarkable talent in tying different styles of turbans with neatness and perfection.
Following are the winners
First Position: Sartaj Singh (Dignity House) and Sukhbir Singh (Unity House)

Second Position: Jasmeet Singh Bhamra (Honesty House) and Sehbaj Singh (Prosperity House)

Third Position: Prabhjot Singh (Honesty House), Gaganpreet Singh (Prosperity House), and Arshpreet Singh (Unity House)

Appreciation Award: Kiranpreet Kaur (Honesty House)

The overall trophy was won by Honesty House for their outstanding performance and collective efforts throughout the competition.

Principal Dr Yogesh Gambhir congratulated all the winners and participants. He remarked that such events help students embrace their heritage with pride while enhancing their confidence and discipline.
