Rohtak, November 3, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has said that an Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) will be established to make Rohtak city efficient, convenient, and administratively smart. The Municipal Corporation will prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for this initiative.
He was addressing a meeting of officers at the Mini Secretariat auditorium regarding the establishment of the ICCC. The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to provide feedback so that their specific needs could be included in the project.
DC Sachin Gupta said that the ICCC will enable Rohtak to be resource-integrated and administratively monitored from a single platform. Once established, it will bring together key civic services such as advanced traffic management, citizen services, medical resource monitoring, and crime surveillance, helping the city respond more effectively to urban challenges.
The Deputy Commissioner added that the ICCC will be especially beneficial for traffic management and enforcement. It will facilitate e-challans for violators and ensure strict compliance with traffic rules. “The objective is to prevent reckless driving and make city roads more disciplined and safe,” he said.
He emphasized that under the road safety initiative, each department should take responsibility for developing one major junction. Accordingly:
• The Municipal Corporation will develop the D-Park Junction,
• The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) will take up the New Bus Stand Junction, and
• The Public Works Department (PWD) will develop the Sonepat Road/Chhotu Ram Chowk stretch.
DC Sachin Gupta also directed that these important junctions be designed as pedestrian-safe and pedestrian-free zones, ensuring smooth vehicle flow and improved public safety. He further instructed officials to identify potential parking spaces across the city to help decongest major roads and address traffic bottlenecks.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held regarding traffic movement and pedestrian safety at D-Park, Bhiwani Stand, and Chhotu Ram Chowk. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed a previously prepared project that proposed redesigning 13 kilometres of city roads to make them more citizen- and child-friendly, and said this concept will be integrated into the ICCC framework.
Municipal Commissioner Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma gave a detailed presentation on the concept and functioning of the ICCC and issued directions to the departments concerned after extensive discussions on each point. The meeting was attended by ADC Narendra Kumar, SDM (Sampla) Utsav Anand, ASP Prateek Agarwal, and officers from various departments.
