Innocent Hearts Pays Tribute to Gandhi and Shastri; Initiates Swachhata Campaign

Jalandhar, September 30, 2025: Innocent Hearts Schools – Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.-Jandiala Road, Noorpur, and Kapurthala Road – along with Innocent Hearts College of Education and Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, reverberated with patriotic fervor as the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri were celebrated with great enthusiasm. Children from Pre-Nursery onwards college students actively participated in the special event. The tiny tots, dressed as Gandhi and Shastri, gave a heartwarming portrayal of the two national leaders. The program began with garlanding their portraits, followed by a symbolic Dandi March led by the little ones to spread the message of truth, peace, and non-violence.
As part of CBSE 's Swachhata Pakhwada ( under SDG 13) students participated in various activities focusing on three dimensions of cleanliness: Clean Mind Healthy Body and Healthy Environment '. The students of Eco- Club cleaned the adjacent park and their respective classes under this Swachhata campaign. The ambassadors of Eco Club spread awareness about segregation of waste into different coloured dustbins. Teachers guided the students to imbibe the values and ideals of both leaders and encouraged them to practice these teachings in their daily lives. NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by promoting Gandhian Values - " Clean Body , Unclean City is Uninhabitable" and Experiential Education ( Ventel) . The celebration not only honored the invaluable contributions of Gandhi and Shastri to the nation’s freedom and progress but also instilled patriotism and social responsibility in the young learners.
