Jalandhar, October 18, 2025: Under the aegis of Disha — an initiative run and managed by the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust — Innocent Hearts Colleges and Schools celebrated Diwali Fiesta with great enthusiasm, beautifully blending festivity, creativity, and environmental consciousness.
All five school campuses — Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.-Jandiala Road, Noorpur Road, and Kapurthala Road — came alive with lights, colours, and festive cheer as students from Nursery to Grade X participated in a variety of creative, hands-on activities showcasing imagination and teamwork. The activities included Candle and Diya Decoration, Lantern Making, Paper Plate Rangoli, Toran (Door Hanging), Glass Aromatic Candle Making, Wall Embellishment, and Rangoli Competition.
The celebration began with mentors highlighting the true essence of Diwali and inspiring students to celebrate it with joy, goodwill, and an eco-friendly approach. During the special assembly, students took a pledge to celebrate a Clean and Green Diwali, expressing their sense of responsibility towards the environment.
The campuses of Innocent Hearts College of Education and the Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions were beautifully adorned with posters and rangoli designs symbolizing the message of lighting up hearts and showing love towards Mother Earth. Adding deeper meaning to the festivities, the Eco Club of Innocent Hearts College of Education organized an ‘Anti-Cracker and Anti-Plastic Campaign’ to promote sustainable celebrations. The student-teachers spread awareness about the harmful effects of pollution caused by crackers in their practice schools. They also created eco-friendly Diwali gift packages from recycled materials and pledged to avoid the use of plastic bags, reinforcing their commitment to a cleaner, greener planet.
The entire celebration truly embodied the spirit of Diwali — spreading light, love, and joy.
