Indian man faces trial for second murder in UAE

Dubai, May 15 (IANS) An Indian man in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who was sentenced to death for murdering his wife, has confessed to killing another woman in a similar fashion four years before the incident, a media report said.

The man, 23, identified as AQ, was convicted, along with his 28-year-old Pakistani accomplice, identified as RA, for strangling the former's wife in bed in a fit of rage after she suspected that he had committed adultery and later disposing of her body in a garbage bag in Dubai's Al Fuqa'a area in March last year, Gulf News reported Wednesday.

During intense questioning by the Dubai Police, the man narrated another incident in which he, along with RA, had dumped another woman's body in the same area as his wife.

The two men now await sentencing for their second crime.

AQ admitted to murdering an East European prostitute four years before murdering his wife, after the police took him to the scene.

The murder of the East European woman had been a mystery for Dubai Police as there was insufficient evidence to indicate who had murdered her, the report said.
