Inauguration of artificial intelligence and data science lab at KMV

Jalandhar, December 7, 2021: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) inaugurated the newly established Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Lab. The inauguration was done by Pargat Singh, Minister of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Punjab and Navjot Singh Sidhu during their special visit to KMV. Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has been running B.Voc. (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science) under the aegis of DDU Kaushal Kendra by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. 
Addressing on the occasion, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this IT course is designed to impart detailed knowledge to the students about the prevailing concepts related to the field of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis, Data Visualisation, Big Data, Python & R Language etc. She further maintained that that this lab has been set up at the college with the objective of providing world class infrastructure while imparting quality education to the students. 
Pargat Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu lauded the efforts made by KMV to provide world class education to the students & said that the work done by KMV to implement various qualitative reforms and raise the standard of higher education was a source of inspiration for other educational institutions. Expressing gratitude to the distinguished guests, Principal said that Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has always been at the forefront for women's empowerment and would continue to be a beacon for others. Dr Gopi Sharma, Director, DDU Kaushal Kendra, Dr Pardeep Arora, Dr Suman Khurana and other faculty members were also present on the occasion.
