IKGPTU sponsored FDP underway at CGC Landran concludes on a successful note
A week long, IKGPTU sponsored Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled ‘Towards Next Generation Communication Technologies’, organised by the Department of ECE, CGC Landran concluded today. The FDP was attended by more than 50 faculty members from CGC and other institutions from across the state. The programme sought to enlighten the participants on the latest developments happening in the field of communication technologies, including wireless communication, LTE networks, data encryption and signal processing, among others. The objective was to help them reinforce their subject expertise, promote interest in research and development, fortify exiting teaching methodologies consequently leading to better learning opportunities for their students. The FDP which was inaugurated by Dr R.K. Sinha, Director, CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh who spoke on Optical Fibre Communication – Past, present and future saw the participation of a galaxy of dignitaries including Dr. Rajesh Khanna, Thapar Institute of Engineering Technology, Patiala, Dr Munish Ratan, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) Ludhiana, Dr Rajneesh Talwar, Director Principal CGC Jhanjeri among others. The valedictory session was addressed by Dr. Khanna.
