Jalandhar, April 21, 2026: DAV University, Jalandhar successfully organized an enlightening seminar on the theme “Life and its Mission in Bhartiya Darshan”. The seminar was conducted by the Centre of Indian Knowledge System (IKS) in association with the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Journalism and Mass Communication, and BA Arts.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Rahul Kumar, Nodal Officer, Centre of Indian Knowledge System,who highlighted the relevance of Indian philosophical traditions in shaping meaningful and purposeful lives in contemporary society.
The keynote speaker, Sh. Umendra Dutt, Founder and Executive Director of Kheti Virasat Mission, delivered an insightful talk emphasizing the importance of aligning one’s life with nature, ethics, and traditional wisdom rooted in Bhartiya Darshan. His address inspired students and faculty to reflect on sustainable living and the deeper purpose of human existence.
Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, DAV University, in his address appreciated the initiative of the IKS Centre in promoting indigenous knowledge systems. He encouraged students to integrate traditional wisdom with modern education. Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Arora, Registrar, also shared his views, underlining the importance of such academic engagements in fostering holistic development.
The seminar witnessed the presence of key members of the Centre of IKS, including Dr. Yeshbeer Singh, Director of Sports, Dr. Anju Pathania, Dr. Nidhi Sharma, and Dr. Ginni Sharma, along with faculty members and students from various departments.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Ashutosh Bhadoria, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished speaker, university authorities, organizing team, and participants for making the seminar a success.
The seminar served as a meaningful platform for intellectual exchange and reinforced the significance of Indian knowledge traditions in today’s world.
