Jalandhar, November 2, 2015: Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar is organising Second Science Camp of INSPIRE Internship during November 3-7, 2015. This camp is fully sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology , Government of India. More than 200 students from about 22 schools from Jalandhar and other districts of Punjab are attending this camp. The Camp will consists of Lectures, Demonstrations, Hands on Practicals, workshops, Interactive sessions in a five day schedule. The eminent scientists from the top research and academic institutes from India including Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, Vigyan Prasar, Noida, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Mohali, National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Punjab University, Chandigarh, National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar will be acting resource persons. Students will learn basics and advances in various fields of sciences including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics etc. This camp will give students an ample opportunity to interact with their science icons, learn from their experiences and will get motivated towards career in science. 
Coordinator of the camp Mr. Harpreet Singh said that “Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)” is one of the innovative programs by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India for attraction of talent to science. The basic objective of INSPIRE is to communicate to the youth population of the country the excitements and creativeness of science and attract talent to the study of science at an early stage and build the required critical human resource pool for strengthening and expanding the Science & Technology system.
