Hindu Nav Varsh Vikram Samvat 2081 celebrated 

Chandigarh, April 9, 2024: The Hindu Nav Varsh Vikram Samvat 2081 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour in Panjab University Chandigarh. 

The Vice Chancellor Prof Renu Vig in the presence of Dean University Instruction Prof Rumina Sethi, Registrar Prof Y.P Verma Dean Student Welfare Prof Amit Chauhan, Dean Student Welfare Women Prof Simrit Kahlon, released the Nav Varsh calendar. The ceremonial unveiling of the calendar marked a symbolic commencement of the new year, embodying the ethos of renewal. The day was marked by several other activities on the Campus including a Weapon Display organised by the Indian Army representing the might of Bharat. 

The Vice Chancellor while addressing the faculty and students said that this occasion is a time to reflect on our achievement and also a time to make new resolutions for the development of the University. She added that in the new year the focus of the University would remain on fostering academic excellence, collaborative research and making a mark in the international arena. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets.
