Hindi Day: Poetry contest brings out students’ creative flair at IHM Rohtak
Hindi poetry took centre stage at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Tilyar, Rohtak, on the occasion of Hindi Day, with students showcasing their creativity and command of the language in a poetry recitation competition.

Rohtak, September 14, 2026: Hindi poetry took centre stage at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Tilyar, Rohtak, on the occasion of Hindi Day, with students showcasing their creativity and command of the language in a poetry recitation competition.
The event aimed to promote love and respect for Hindi while providing students a platform to express their ideas creatively. A total of 26 students participated and recited poems on themes ranging from patriotism and Indian culture to social concerns.
Aryan won the first position, followed by Shivani in second and Vansh in third. The winners were selected on the basis of recitation, expression, content and overall presentation.
Lecturer Vikas Deswal said Hindi was an integral part of India’s culture, traditions and emotional expression. He said such activities help develop students’ interest in the language while giving their creative talent a meaningful platform.
The competition was judged by Dr Pankaj Singh, Vikas Deswal and Ravindra Kumar. IHM Principal Shambhunath Gautam congratulated and felicitated the winners, saying such programmes contribute to students’ overall development and help promote Indian languages.
