Himachal Day observed during International Trade Fair

Shimla, November 17, 2015: Himachal State-Day was observed with great enthusiasm and fervour during International Trade Fair in New Delhi today. Cultural Troupes from different corners of the State gave their performances on the occasion.
Principal Secretary Shri R.D. Dhiman inaugurated the function. He said that Himachal had emerged as a favourite destination not only for tourists but also for the investors as the State had conducive industrial environment. He said that a large number of big industrial houses had shown keen interest in investing in the State.
Commissioner Industries Shri Rajinder Singh Thakur said the State Government had setup an Investment Promotion Cell in the Pavilion to provide first hand information to the prospective investors.
Director Information and Public Relations Dr. M.P. Sood said that the department had launched a campaign to aware the masses particularly the prospective investors regarding the incentives and other facilities being made available in the State for the promotion of investment.
Director Language Art & Culture Shri Arun Sharma informed that cultural troupes of interior areas of Himachal Pradesh had been invited to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the State on the occasion.
Director Pavilion Shri Jitender Sanjta informed that the focus of the Pavilion was on ‘Make in Himachal’ in ‘Make in India’ under the Logo of emerging Himachal. Mr. Yogesh Gupta, General Manager of Pavilion informed that about 60 stalls had been put in the Pavilion including the sale counters.
