A high level delegation from Lesotho during its visit to CICU, Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, August 25, 2015: Sh.Avtar Singh, President & Shri Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU0, Ludhiana in a statement released today said a high level delegation from the Kingdom of Lesotho (an African country) visited CICU to conduct ‘One-2-One Meeting’ Session for finding out the possibilities of Bilateral Trade between India & Lesotho. The objective of visit was to look for Exporters of Engineering Machinery, Equipments, Textiles & Garments. Mr. Avtar Singh & Mr. Upkar Singh Ahuja welcomed the African Guests.
In his welcome note Mr. Avtar Singh said that this is 2nd visit of Lesotho Delegation to CICU in one month. It shows that the 1st meeting was very successful and that is why they have again visited with a lot of hopes from the Industries of Ludhiana.
Then Mr. Upkar Singh Ahuja gave a presentation about CICU’s history and its activities and explained the CICU’s dedication for promotion, growth, development and improvement bi-lateral relations for mutual benefits & for the strength of Industries of Punjab. He told that a Delegation of CICU also wishes to visit Lesotho.
Thereafter, Mr. Bothata Tsikeone told that the purpose of their visit is to develop the Lesotho Country through technology from Ludhiana Industries to improve living standard of Lesotho people and the economy of the country.
Mr. Nkaku Kabi, M.P. said that there are lot opportunities of exports and investment in their country in the field of Agriculture, Flour Machinery and Chemical Fertilizers. He suggested to contact the Embassy of Lesotho in New Delhi for more information of making visit to Lesotho.
Mr. Lesego L.C. Makgothi, M.P. narrated that he was very impressed from Kaizen Competition being organized by CICU for empowering of youngsters. He also praised the Skill Development Centre being run by CICU. He further said that their main goal to visit Ludhiana is to find good quality machinery and fertilizers that can explore the building of bilateral trade & business, help their country to generate employment and improve economy.
The Session was summed up with great of exploring bilateral business opportunities between both the countries.
