Jalandhar, March 12, 2016: Department of Home Science of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised a Healthy Cooking Competition to inculcate the habit of eating healthy food amongst the students. Students of all departments participated in this event with great zeal.
Principal Dr.Sucharita felt that today's generation is running after fast food or junk food which is quite unhygienic for a healthy life style and such competitions are really fruitful to make them aware of the benefits of healthy food.
In this competition, more than 30 students participated in different categories like Sandwich Making, Salad Making and Mocktails.
This competition also helped the students to develop their interest in cooking.
Dr. Sunit Kaur, Head, Department of English, Ms. Kusum Arora, Head, Department of Philosophy and Ms. Monika Sekhon, Head, Department of Psychology judged all the participants. Principal Dr. Sucharita highly appreciated the efforts of Ms. Monika Anand, Head, Department of Home Science for conducting this innovative competition.
