Haryana Police arrests two persons; Recover 22kg poppy husk

Chandigarh, April 10, 2017: Haryana Police has arrested two persons for smuggling drugs and recovered 22kg poppy husk from their possession. The accused were travelling from Madhya Pradesh to Punjab. While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that the accused, namely Rajkumar alias Raju and Rana Kumar, both residents of Ludhiana, Punjab, were arrested at Bastara toll plaza in Karnal. During interrogation, the accused revealed that they had bought poppy husk from an unknown person at a railway station in Madhya Pradesh and were travelling to Punjab to sell it.
