Harvest International School students visited ‘Manukhta Di Sewa Society’ and Shree ‘Vivekanand Old Age Home’ in Ludhiana on December 18, 2022 to express their love, appreciation and care for the abandoned and underprivileged people.

Ludhiana, December 20, 2022: Harvest International School students visited ‘Manukhta Di Sewa Society’ and Shree ‘Vivekanand Old Age Home’ in Ludhiana on December 18, 2022 to express their love, appreciation and care for the abandoned and underprivileged people.

Manukhta Di Sewa Society was visited by a group of hundred students accompanied by the Vice Principal Puja Chandpuri, Hostel Wardens - Ramesh Mittal and Sarita Karn and teachers Anas Khan, Mohammad Adil, Marina Das and Shashi Salaria. The students interacted with the hapless inmates showing their love and respect for the seniors as they distributed sweets, danced and sang songs surrounded in an ambience of joy and excitement, which also generated the special feeling of being loved, respected and accepted.

Shree Vivekananda Old Age Home was visited by eighteen students accompanied by teachers - Trilok Singh and Neha Arora. The students interacted with the seniors and spread the glow of love and attended a meditation session where the techniques of meditation was imparted to them. Finally, as a manifestation of their care and concern for the seniors, the students affectionately donated medicines.

The abounding sorrow of those discarded by their families made the students aware that seniors in a family are an extremely valuable asset and treasure. Furthermore, it is immensely important that they must always be loved and cherished.
