Harnoor Dhingra of MGN Public School excels

Jalandhar, November 8, 2014: Harnoor Dhingra, a student of 10th Class of MGN Public School, Jalandhar excelled in all sphere of life.

A brilliant student of the School, secured position among top 20 students & has been awarded Scholarship worth Rs 2.40 lakh in the Talent Recognition Exam Conducted by FIITJEE.

The school hosted a competition conducted by “Indian Centre for Wildlife and Environment Studies in South Asia Region. “ The purpose behind the program was ‘Save Earth’ – Conservation & Preservation of Wild life. Number of students from different Schools and regions participated.  Harnoor Dhingra of class IX, secured 85% marks and brought laurels to the School by winning the ‘Paryavarna Ratna Swarn Padak”  and  first position at All India level.

Harnoor Singh also attended three conferences conducted by Model United Nations at Hyderabad.  He was in W H O Committee and represented the Country Dominicia.    The other two MUN’s were BVC-MUN at Chandigarh and MOD-MUN at Delhi . Through these conferences, he got a chance to meet dignitaries such as Rakesh Sharma, first Indian to go in space.

Harnoor Dhingra aced the iquest leaving behind over 600 students from different Schools. He   topped  the state charts  and won the Scholarship.

Harnoor’s love for green environment and birds prompted him actively participate in “save sparrow campaign” conducted by NGO-Dastak for the past six year. Recently, in October 2014 he has been assigned the post of “project director” for Save Neelkanth Campaign in different School.

He also attended two weeks robotics workshop and also took part in a robotic conference, held at Pune from May 31 – June 4 this year.

In addition to these he also got very good State rank in 16th National Science Olympiad.
