Gutar Gu director Saqib Pandor talks about young love, experiences, and the feeling of firsts in a relationship

Mumbai, April 17, 2023: Amazon miniTV - Amazon’s free video streaming service, recently premiered their romantic-comedy teen drama, Gutar Gu, which depicts the simplicity, innocence, and complexities of young love. The 6 episodic series make for an engaging and enriching experience for the audience with a relatable narrative, the characters feel one of us and it is a light-hearted watch that can lift your mood.

Commenting on the streaming services’ new-found love for rom-com drama, Saqib Pandor, Director of Gutar Gu said, “The story of Gutar Gu isn’t new to be honest. There is something that I feel will relate to most people that is the honesty that the actor has laid the character, one thing we felt was a necessity. I knew the story doesn’t have any X factor. As you can see, it isn’t a plot-driven story, it is a character-driven story. I watch a lot of young adult dramas and I feel there is a love story, but I haven't seen anything that happens for the first time in their relationship.”

Saqib further speaks on preserving a butterflies-in-the-stomach experience in the romantic drama series while visually showcasing the different phases of a relationship. “If you see Gutar Gu, every episode is divided into the first thing that happens in a relationship – be it the first kiss, first fight, first jealousy, first valentine – first everything.”

‘Gutar Gu’ is now only available on Amazon miniTV, which can be viewed from a desktop, Fire TV, and the Amazon shopping app with a single click for absolutely free.
