Guru Kashi University Conducts NSDC Training Programme

Talwandi Sabo, October 7, 2015: IQBRI Private Limited conducted a skill development training programme on tractor operation and maintenance in Guru Kashi University Talwandi Sabo. The training programme was conducted under Prime Minister National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) New Delhi. 210 students of B.Sc Agriculture of Guru Kashi University participated in the 15 day programme. Mr.Taranpreet Singh Zonal Manager from IQBRI coordinated the whole programme. The students will be awarded a certificate after an online test to be conducted by NSDC New Delhi. Director Corporate Affairs GKU Prof. Mehboob Singh Gill said the students who clear the test will have specialized training on skill enhancement that helps him to start their own business or gain employment in the industry. Mr. Arashdeep Singh Training and Placement Officer said that this training falls under Employment Guarantee Scheme of Union Government and these kinds of skill development trainings will be conducted for other disciplines in future.

Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor lauded the efforts of Training & Placement Department and congratulated students for taking the role initiatives.
