Union Minister Kiren Rijiju visited Sharda University

The two-day international conference on 'Decolonizing Colonial Infrastructure: A Path to Indigenous Revival' was held at Sharda University, Knowledge Park, Greater Noida. The event was jointly organized by Sharda University and  Indian Culture Global Centre, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the International Centre for Cultural Studies (ICCS).The conference aimed to discuss the importance of reviving indigenous cultures and eliminating colonial influences in modern infrastructure.
Sharing his views, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju’ said "Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Indians living abroad now proudly say, 'We are Indian,' and they no longer hesitate to speak in Hindi. A nation with strong roots cannot be shaken; it can become a global leader. Our civilization is ancient and resilient. We must emphasize preserving our mother tongue and culture. True success comes when people from other nations connect with us."
Addressing the gathering PK Gupta, Chancellor, Sharda University stated "To promote Indian culture globally, we must unite and share our heritage with as many countries as possible. Indigenous progress is rooted in honesty and culture. Students should learn about their regional culture. The first teacher for a child is the mother. Therefore, it's essential to educate girls and provide them with job reservations."
The conference underscored the importance of decolonizing educational frameworks and reviving indigenous knowledge systems to foster a more inclusive and culturally rich society.  During the conference, Sibaram Khara, Vice Chancellor, Sharda University; Dhananjay Singh,  Dr. Anvint Gupta, Dr. Prashant Arvey, Dr. Shashi Balaji were also present along with deans and directors.
