Guru Hargobind Khalsa College Gurusar Sudhar secures top position in Panjab University Inter-College Football (Boys) tournament

Ludhiana, November 1, 2023: Guru Hargobind Khalsa College, Gurusar Sudhar, proudly continues its tradition of excellence by securing the top position in the Panjab University Inter-College Football (Boys) tournament, which took place at Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur (Hoshiarpur). In their first match, they defeated D.A.V College, Hoshiarpur, with a score of 2-1. Sudhar College maintained their winning streak by triumphing over Post-Graduate Government College, Sector-11, with a score of 2-0 and Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur (Hoshiarpur), with a score of 1-0. The match between G.H.G Khalsa College, Sudhar, ended in a draw against Babar Akali Memorial College, Garhshankar.

Notably, the girls' football team of Sudhar College secured the second position in this tournament. They achieved victory by defeating the Punjab University Campus team with a score of 2-1 and the P.G.G College Sector-11 team with a score of 2-1. In a separate match, MCMDAV College tied with Sudhar College with a score of 0-0. 

College Principal, Dr. Harpreet Singh, extended his congratulations to the victorious students. Notable figures present at the event included the head of the department, Dr. Baljinder Singh, Prof. Harmeet Singh, Prof. Manpreet Kaur, Prof. Karanveer Singh, football coach Mohammad Akbar, and Tarandeep Singh.
