Dr.Amar Singh released report card of one year Congress government

Raikot/Ludhiana, April 25, 2018: In a good news for the residents of Raikot and surrounding areas, the government will soon open Government college and Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Raikot. This was revealed by Vice President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) and former IAS Dr.Amar Singh. He said that the announcement will be made soon as the project report is on final stage.

Dr.Amar Singh said that apart from two projects, grants of several crores were also released for various development projects in Raikot.

While releasing the one year report card of Congress government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Dr. Amar Singh informed that in last one year government has approved ten new degree colleges and one will be announced for Raikot. He said that with the new government college the students have not to visit Ludhiana city and other areas and will get higher education in their own town. The administration is looking for the suitable land and soon the foundation stone of new college will be laid.

Dr.Amar Singh further informed that the government is also planning to open ITI and the department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Government of Punjab has written letter to local administration for the same purpose. Apart from Government College and ITI, new Bus stand will be built and other development projects will be unveiled in Raikot. Few months ago, the government has allotted fire brigade for Raikot and fulfilled the long pending demand of area residents.

Dr.Amar Singh said that in last one year Rs two crore grant for development, seven crore for power transmission upgradation, eleven crore for road infrastructure of 42 villages, 4.75 crore for construction of road from Raikot to Jagraon, 2.74 lakh crore for Halwara- Pakhowal road were approved by Punjab government. The Power grid at village Lohatbandhi was also started and bus service connecting several villages was also started in last one year. The sewerage system of Raikot was also cleaned and maintained with jetting machines, said Dr. Amar Singh.

On this occasion, Youth Congress leader and OSD Jagpreet Singh Buttar was also present.
