Governor nominates PU VC to academic council as his nominee

Chandigarh: Haryana Governor Sh. Satyadev Narayan Arya has nominated Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, as his nominee, on the Academic Council of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat (Haryana) here today.
As per the notification issued by the Haryana Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh, the Haryana Governor Sh. Satyadev Narayan Arya has exercised the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(b) of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat Act, 2012 to appoint PU VC as Hon’ble Governor’s and Chancellor’s nominee on the Academic Council, for a term of three years with immediate effect. The Academic Council of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University is responsible to manage the academic affairs of the University as per University Act, Statutes and Regulations. 
Named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a great social reformer and architect of Constitution of India and the present legal system, the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat (DBRANLU) was established by the State Government of Haryana under the legislative enactment No. 15 of 2012. Hon’ble Governor of the State of Haryana, Shri Satyadeo Narayana Arya is the Chancellor and Prof. (Dr.) Mrs. Viney Kapoor Mehra is the founder Vice-Chancellor of the University.
