GOVERNOR EXHORT STUDENTS TO FACE CHALLENGE OF OUTSIDE WORLD WITH POSITIVE ATTITUDE

CHANDIGARH October 28, 2016: The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Shri VP Singh Badnore, who is also Chairman of Punjab Public School, Nabha, while presiding over 57th Founders Day function today at Punjab Public School, Nabha, stressed upon imparting quality education to students. He said that he was happy to know that this Public school was established to prepare the children of the defence personnel, farmers, and common men and women from rural areas.

Speaking on the occasion the Governor said that education does not mean only classroom teaching, education is incomplete without sports, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. He said the achievements of the school in the field of sports are, not only commendable, but also an inspiring model for other schools to follow.

Describing this School as number 1 school, the Governor asked the faculty to not to look at shortcut, temptations and donot laugh at disabilities. He said that in future all the meeting of the Governing Body would be held in the premises of PPS, Nabha.
He said under the able guidance of the Headmaster and the dedicated work put in by the faculty, the students from rural areas have been achieving good command over English is highly appreciable.

Earlier, the Governor interacted with the student and had round of senior school. He showed keen interest in the school exhibition. He conferred role of honour on Dr. Satish Jain and also gave life time achievement award to Mr. K.P. Tandon. He also gave prizes to students who excelled in their respective fields.

Earlier, the Headmaster of the School, Dr. Jagpreet Singh, said that the institution has produced man and women of exceptional calibre and implacable integrity our the last five decades.
