Glorious retirement of Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Acting Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College 

Jalandhar, December 31, 2025: All the teachers of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, a leading educational institution of North India, organised a warm farewell party in honour of the Acting Principal, Prof. Navdeep Kaur, on the occasion of her retirement. The event was marked by an atmosphere of respect, gratitude, and cordiality, reflecting her long and distinguished association with the college.
At the outset, Staff Secretary Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, along with all Heads of Departments and faculty members, warmly welcomed Prof. Navdeep Kaur and her spouse, retired Professor Prabhjot Singh, by presenting bouquets of flowers. On this occasion, Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu also presented a brief yet meaningful PowerPoint presentation highlighting the personal and professional journey of Prof. Navdeep Kaur.
He stated that during her nearly 33 years of service at the college, Prof. Navdeep Kaur rendered exemplary services in the Department of Economics. She served the institution with dedication in various capacities, including Professor, Head of the Department, Bursar, College Registrar, and Acting Principal, and took several commendable initiatives in the interest of students, staff members, and the overall development of the college.
Recalling her academic and professional achievements, senior Professor of the Department of Economics, Dr. Simranjit Singh Bains, said that Prof. Navdeep Kaur earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics with Gold Medals. He added that students have always admired and appreciated her effective teaching skills and commitment to academic excellence.
Head of the English Department, Prof. Balraj Kaur, presented the appreciation letter issued by the College Governing Council. The President of the Governing Council, Balbir Kaur, conveyed her best wishes for Prof. Navdeep Kaur’s bright future and lauded the sincerity, dedication, and sense of responsibility with which she discharged her duties in various roles throughout her career.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Navdeep Kaur expressed that she could hardly realise how quickly her long tenure at the college had passed. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to the College Governing Council, as well as to the teaching and non-teaching staff, for their constant support, cooperation, and respect during her service.
On the occasion, all faculty members extended their warm wishes to Prof. Navdeep Kaur for good health, happiness, and a bright future ahead, bringing the farewell ceremony to a memorable and emotional close.
