The school celebrated the festival of lights Diwali with immense joy, devotion, and creativity. The celebration began with a special assembly conducted by the students of Class XII (Science), which beautifully captured the essence of the festival.

Jalandhar, October 21, 2025: The school celebrated the festival of lights Diwali with immense joy, devotion, and creativity. The celebration began with a special assembly conducted by the students of Class XII (Science), which beautifully captured the essence of the festival.
The assembly featured a soulful bhajan, a thought-provoking speech, and a heart-touching poem on Diwali, emphasizing the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. A special speech on Bandi Chod Diwas was also delivered, reminding everyone of the values of freedom, compassion, and sacrifice associated with this auspicious day.
Adding a scientific sparkle to the celebration, an exciting chemistry-based experiment was conducted , where Dr Yogesh Gambhir ,Principal of the school sprayed a special chemical on a sheet of paper and the words “Happy Diwali” magically appeared — leaving everyone amazed. The demonstration beautifully blended learning with festivity and science with celebration.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir also read out the Diwali message from the Honourable President of DAV College Managing Committee, Dr. Punam Suri Ji that encouraged students to buy and promote “Made in India” products, supporting Indian artisans and craftsmen. He also extended his heartfelt Diwali greetings to all, wishing prosperity, happiness, and peace for everyone.The festive spirit continued as Principal Sir and the staff members joyfully burst eco-friendly crackers, spreading cheer and togetherness all around.
The tiny tots of Nursery to UKG enjoyed delightful puppet show on the Ramayana, while the students of Classes I and II enacted a lively role play on the Ramayana, depicting the ideals of Lord Rama with innocence and devotion.
Adding vibrant colours to the celebration, students from different classes prepared beautiful rangolis, reflecting their creativity and aesthetic sense.
