GGNIMT Wins Silver Position at National level TECH Business Idea Competition at EDII
The students of GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana brought laurels to the institution by securing the silver position at the national level Technology Business Pitch Competition(Tech BIP 2026) held at the prestigious Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad for their innovative business idea “Family Farmer.”
Ludhiana, March 16, 2026: The students of GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana brought laurels to the institution by securing the silver position at the national level Technology Business Pitch Competition(Tech BIP 2026) held at the prestigious Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad for their innovative business idea “Family Farmer.” The achievement came after a highly competitive selection process involving more than 400 teams from across India. The screening was done in nine regional level events across India. GGNIMT team had qualified for the national finals.
The Grand Finale was held at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, where 32 teams shortlisted from across the country competed for the top honours. The GGNIMT team impressed the jury with their innovative and socially impactful concept aimed at strengthening agricultural entrepreneurship and supporting farmers through direct to consumer sales based business idea.
The winning team from GGNIMT included Manjyot Singh, BBA 2nd Semester, Sidaq Singh Gujral, BCA 2nd Semester, Sanya BCA 2nd Semester and Ravi Kumar Purvey, B.Com 6th Semester. GGNIMT team was mentored by Dr Harpreet Singh, Principal,GGNIMT and Prof Ramandeep Kaur.
Dr SP Singh, President of Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council (GKEC), the governing body of GGNIMT congratulated the students for their remarkable performance. He also appreciated their dedication, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit that helped them to excel at the national level. S. Harsharan Singh Narula, Hong. General Secretary, GKEC hoped the team's splendid achievement would also inspire other students leading to the recreation of an ecosystem that fosters entrepreneurial spirit among all students.
Dr Harpreet Singh, Principal said that the achievement reflects GGNIMT’s continued focus on encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical learning among students.
Director GGNIMT Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra expressed his happiness for this remarkable achievement and appreciated the students’ focus, commitment and hard work.
